September 2017 meeting

Date: Tuesday, September 19, 2017

Time: 7:00 pm

Place: 20097 72nd Ave, Langley (Shepherd of the Valley Church – signs will be posted inside)

This is our regular meeting and we have a more “meaty” agenda than last time (but please don’t let that scare you if you’re vegan – we mean that in the metaphorical sense 😉

September is coming and from our last meeting we will have been represented at a Council meeting.

Let’s look at moving forward.

Thank you to our sponsors!

A special thank-you to the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.  They have graciously donated space for the next year so we have a home.

They are located at 20097 72nd Avenue, Langley BC and we really want to thank them for their hospitality.

Thank you to the Township of Langley for their gracious sponsorship of our 2019 activities.

Thank you to ceascape.business.solutions, a member of the Langley Chamber of Commerce, for their sponsorship for 2019

We have incorporated (again)

We are now an incorporated Society under the BC Societies Act.  Thank you to our founding directors.

Our next step is to get a sense of what Willoughby residents want and how we can shape the community.

Please email us at

willoughby.residents.assn@gmail.com

or call our President at 604-888-6606

Or watch for our surveys.

Most of all – get your neighbours involved!

Have them join us at http://eepurl.com/cqDLjz

We are looking for a home

The Willoughby Residents Association needs a meeting place.  Our first meeting was in the chair’s home but that is not a long-term solution.

We agreed at the first meeting to meeting February, May, September and November and we are aiming to keep that the third Tuesday of the each month for 2 hours max.

But we need a location.

At this point, as we are not charging membership fees, we have no bank account.  So unless we can do a collection at each meeting, essentially any space needs to be donated.

If you know of space that can give us a meeting place for a couple of hours 4 times a year, please email us at willoughby.residents.assn@gmail.com

We are more than happy to give credit at meetings, and mentions on brochures and in any publications.

We know that there must be some organizations that support community initiatives so if you are able to help, or point us in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
